Welcome to my site "Lost the north?". The name of this site is a literal translation of a Dutch proverb. It means "completely lost". So if you have no clue where you are, you lost the north. I guess it comes from people travelling in the arctic region. If you get close to the magnetic North Pole, your compass will not work anymore. So your compass "lost the north". I hope that my site will help you find the north again or at least the south.

This website contains information and pictures of the places where I've been during the last years. In 2003 I took a nine-month trip through Australia and Asia, so many places of this trip are covered here. Currently only Australia is available but more places will be available soon. Places still to come include Malaysia, Cambodia, Korea, Spain and many more. For each place I include the date I visited the place, how I got there, how long I stayed there, ...
